A premium selection of experienced lawyers who are passionate about government.

Smart people, who are people smart.

We hand select talented, senior lawyers who understand government and are great to work with.

How we help

Embed top-tier talent without the top-tier price tag. We pride ourselves on selecting friendly senior lawyers who have deep experience in government and private practice. Our lawyers hit the ground running to provide high-quality, practical and responsive advice, at exceptional value for money.
lawyerbank principally provides experienced lawyers as secondees to government. Our premium team is available for onsite or virtual secondments, for both short and long term roles, working as part of your in-house team for the duration you need. We aim to be as flexible as possible to meet your requirements and changing needs.
In addition to secondments we provide our clients with ad hoc legal advice in the fields of commercial law, probity, employment law, property law and administrative law.
lawyerbank’s pro bono offering enables not-for-profit organisations to benefit from our team’s extensive legal knowledge – either through a dedicated secondment or the provision of ad hoc legal advice.

Our lawyers

The quality of lawyerbank’s lawyers is central to our reputation and we take a selective approach to growing our team.

How we grow

We don’t advertise to join lawyerbank. We target lawyers who come highly recommended and possess both the hard and soft skills to hit the ground running when working with in-house teams.

Who we engage

We pursue the premium end of the legal market, engaging lawyers who:

  • typically have over 10 years’ experience, usually obtained in top-tier practice and in-house with government; and
  • are friendly and excellent communicators, instilling confidence with every engagement.

How we help you

By working with lawyerbank, you can:

  • scale your team up (and down) without impacting FTE limits and employment budgets
  • work with friendly high-performing lawyers with top-tier training
  • access a range of experience levels and legal skillsets to support your  entire project lifecycle
  • benefit from lawyers who hit the ground running and seamlessly integrate with in-house teams because they are accustomed to working with government
  • engage hand selected lawyers at competitive prices, avoiding the need to conduct interviews or reference checks

How it works

We like to keep things simple for our clients so you can concentrate on what matters most to you.

Step One

If you have a resourcing need, reach out and let us know what you are looking for.

Step Two

We will send you a range of lawyers to choose from, including daily rates and their CVs. We won’t waste your time – we will only send you lawyer/s that meet your needs.

Step Three

Once you have selected the lawyer/s you need, we will formalise the arrangement using a Secondment Order / Agreement

Step Four

Your lawyerbank lawyer/s will work as part of your team, operating on your IT systems and under the supervision and direction of a manager in your team. You decide what they work on and set their priorities.

Panel Appointments

lawyerbank is a government-centric law firm. We have a solid track record supporting a wide variety of government clients including Commonwealth, Victorian and New South Wales government agencies.

We have been appointed to a variety of panels including the:

  • Commonwealth Legal Services Panel in the fields of Commercial Law, Administrative Law and Legal Support Services
